Many of us move through life carrying stories about who we should be, shaped by family, culture, relationships, survival, and the expectations we’ve learned to traverse. Over time, it can become difficult to tell the difference between who we are and who we've been expected to be. Therapy can be a place to slow down, get curious, and begin untangling those threads. Whether you’re navigating identity questions, trauma, or a major life transition, I strive to offer a space that feels attuned and liberating enough for compassionate self-exploration.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and relational. I draw from psychodynamic, narrative, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and somatic approaches, while integrating creative mindfulness interventions when they support a client's goals. I view emotional challenges within the broader contexts that shape our lives, including relationships, culture, identity, family history, and systems of power. Together, we can explore longstanding patterns, build practical coping skills, deepen self-understanding, and cultivate a stronger sense of agency.
I enjoy working with adults at various life stages navigating questions of purpose and belonging that may show up through anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, relationship concerns, family conflict, multicultural identity development, and/or trauma. As a first-generation immigrant, South Asian woman, and artist, I bring curiosity and respect for the many ways our identities and lived experiences influence how we move through the world. I’m especially passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, artists, students, BIPOC clients, and those navigating the complexities of multiple cultural worlds.
Life is complicated enough without having to maneuver it alone. If you're looking for a space that is thoughtful, steady, and human (with room for both depth and laughter), let’s connect to set up a consultation. I hope you’ll pull up a chair.
