We turn to therapy when things feel overwhelming, and when despite our best efforts, we find ourselves stuck facing the same patterns, emotions and narratives about ourselves and our relationships. Life has a way of throwing curve balls that uncovers trauma we never knew existed. A willingness to face these challenges shows bravery, determination and on a deeper level, a desire to take care of ourselves.
My approach is client-centered, psychodynamic, and relational. I strive to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship where we can explore new possibilities, deepen self-understanding, and cultivate greater agency that feels authentic to your identities, cultural background, and lived experiences. By exploring how past experiences continue to shape the present, we can develop insight into longstanding patterns and create greater freedom to make choices that align with who you are and who you hope to become. Through a safe, nonjudgmental space, we can begin to understand and integrate the parts that may feel difficult to acknowledge, while working toward healing the wounds that limit connection and growth.
I work with adults of all ages from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, gender, and sexual identity backgrounds. I have experience supporting individuals navigating childhood trauma, family-of-origin conflict, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, and concerns related to self-esteem and identity development. I am particularly interested in working with those who are exploring questions of belonging, purpose, authenticity, and what it means to build a meaningful and fulfilling life.
If this feels like a good fit for you, I would love to hear from you. It would be an honor to walk alongside you in this journey, confident that our therapeutic relationship can be a source of hope, strength and healing, even when things feel most difficult.
