Our lives are a series of experiences; transitions, growth, loss, connection, relationships, joy, and sadness. These are defining moments of our lives that help us understand the world, ourselves, and others better; they can also feel overwhelming and isolating. In these moments one can feel lost and may not be sure how to move forward or find a way through the difficult experience. Therapy can be a space for us to process these moments and build tools to help navigate the future with more solid grounding and stability within you. I understand that this can feel scary and so strive to create a space of non-judgment where we can explore your experiences together in safety.
My work, first and foremost, is going to be centered on the therapy space; making sure it feels safe and comfortable for you. We will collaborate to explore your story; how you are impacted by the world around you, how your experiences shaped who you are, and how your identities interact with the world around you. I will provide a guiding lens so that you may be able to find that place of stability for yourself. I employ a calming, soft-spoken manner so your voice is prioritized. In this way we can hear your story and determine, together, how to create an intentional and meaningful narrative for you.
I have had the privilege of working with adults of all ages from various socio-economic, cultural, and social identities. My experiences in private practice, community mental health, and in college settings have highlighted, for me, my passion in working with people experiencing grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, relational difficulties, identity development, and navigating life transitions. I hope to work with you on your journey toward deeper emotional experiences and a life full of meaning.
