Sometimes we experience an event that makes us question the world around us. Other times we may feel a certain way but can’t put our finger on why. It is possible we feel both desire and fear around looking deeper into our concerns. Life can feel messy, complicated and overwhelming. Seeking help may feel that way as well. You’re not alone and building a therapeutic relationship can help sort out these feelings. I create a space where you can express uninhibited, without expectations or judgment. This is a place without criticism and interruptions to slow down and address what is on your mind.

I have a laid-back yet intentional style, collaborating with you to move through the process effectively and comfortably. As a team, we will explore relational and societal dynamics as well as your identities, values, and what you want from this process. Therapy can help you better understand what exactly is bothering you, discover and overcome patterns that no longer serve you, and reduce and manage uncomfortable emotions. By not utilizing labels or a one-size fits all approach we can address your unique concerns and expand the possibility of where your therapeutic journey leads you.

I have specialized training in both domestic and sexual violence. I served as an advocate and peer counselor at a domestic violence shelter and as a crisis counselor for sexual assault survivors in emergency departments across Chicago. I am passionate about working with those who have histories of trauma and social injustice. Additionally, my work at a community college wellness center cultivated an ability to work with a variety of concerns in adult populations. I look forward to hearing what is on your mind.
