What’s your story? No matter where you are in this journey of life or how you’re able to answer that question, therapy can be a useful place to explore the myriad of complex life experiences that shape your story. Beginning therapy or finding the right therapist can be an overwhelming and challenging process. Understanding this, I value fostering a supportive and empathic therapeutic relationship within which you feel comfortable exploring your life experiences and vulnerabilities.

I believe in empowering you to find fulfillment and agency in your life. I have had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages from various socio-economic, cultural, and social identities through private practice and college settings. As a result, my approach to therapy is collaborative and flexible, catering to you and your unique needs, strengths, and cultural and familial backgrounds. I enjoy incorporating curiosity, creativity, and humor into the therapeutic space as well. I draw from Narrative, Cognitive-based, and mindfulness approaches along with trauma-informed care to create compassionate and tailored therapy.

My experiences as an immigrant and South Asian woman inform my deep commitment to increasing access to and destigmatizing mental health services. I am passionate about working with BIPOC individuals and those with marginalized identities who are navigating feelings of otherness, the intersection of their identities, and other systemic challenges, with a focus on Muslim and South Asian mental health. Sessions with me will consist of gentle challenges, unconditional support, and a non-judgmental environment. I hope to collaborate with you in discovering, exploring, or nurturing your story!

Whether you are seeking therapy for the first time or returning, your story is important to me. If any of this resonates with you, please reach out! I welcome the opportunity to answer your questions, address any concerns, and discuss if we are the right fit for each other.
