“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you.” – Maya Angelou

I believe everyone has a story, and sometimes it is hard to know where to begin. The feeling of not being able to express oneself is difficult to endure. I consider therapy a safe and supportive space to share unspoken thoughts, ideas, opinions, and feelings that can be a source of life’s challenges. Therapy can instill hope with which your story begins to be seen and heard.

As a multicultural psychologist and career changer, I understand the struggles of navigating academic, professional, cultural, social, and immigration transitions. I strive to cultivate a validating and non-judgmental space to empower you and your voice to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and sincere to support you in making connections between your past and present and fostering a greater presence and awareness of yourself to grow and thrive.

My previous experience in community mental health, hospital settings, and college counseling at the University of Chicago and Northern Illinois University have prepared me to work with diverse backgrounds and concerns. I work from an anti-oppressive lens and specialize in treating life transitions, identity-related concerns, relationships, and clients of minoritized/marginalized backgrounds.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested in working with me. I look forward to hearing from you and joining you on your journey.
