My goal as a therapist is to support my clients in using their strengths creatively to address the difficulties that bring them to counseling. I know deeply that each person who enters into my therapy space brings with them brilliant survival strategies and a unique set of assets. In therapy, we have the opportunity to put our heads together and improve the day-to-day experience of life. For this approach to work, it is critical that I provide a warm, safe, and collaborative space for client’s to grow and feel courageous.
I have worked with clients from a variety of backgrounds on a wide range of struggles including feelings of depression, mood disorders, academic difficulties, identity exploration, anxiety, family conflict, relationship questions, experiences of discrimination, trauma, and grief and loss. I have also volunteered in the Emergency Room to counsel and advocate for people following sexual assault. I am especially interested in supporting LGBTQ+ and TGNC communities and have a wealth of experience with emerging adults.
As a therapist and as a person, I know that we all need help at times. If you feel we might be a good fit, please reach out. I would be honored to support to you on your journey as best I can.
