I have had the privilege of working with adults of all ages and various identities. I am passionate about supporting my clients facing loss, identity development, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.
Sometimes life catapults us into a new chapter - filled with both challenge and promise - that we may not have asked for. As these moments accumulate over time, we find meaning and change through fully experiencing the present and deliberately reflecting on the past. Therapy with me encourages both.
Life can feel overwhelming and lonely, particularly when our sense of direction is blurry. In these moments of uncertainty, our reactions may not make sense to us; I’d like to collaborate with you to understand how the hurts of your past impact your reactions to the present. By facing moments of fear and doubt together in therapy, we can see the root of your challenges and start to turn self-criticism and confusion into faith in your individual ability to find stability, self-compassion, and calm within even when things are falling apart around you.
My aim is for you to have a space to show up wholly as you, however that may shift from session to session. Each therapeutic relationship is different, and that’s how therapy should be! What you can expect from me is a casual demeanor that incorporates non-judgement, warmth, and humor to encourage you to accomplish your goals. I welcome feedback on what seems to be working and not working. Throughout the process, I highlight emotional expression, optimism, and psychological flexibility while also introducing coping skills to meet you where you are in a given moment.
I have direct clinical experiences and training in psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) from The Family Institute at Northwestern University and the Depression and Anxiety Specialty Clinic of Chicago. Before transitioning into counseling as a career, I spent a few years working in corporate environments. I find this experience provides a sense of relatability in therapy.
I look forward to meeting with you!
