Deciding to seek therapy can be one of the most difficult, yet rewarding, decisions you can make. Practicing vulnerability is hard, but having someone with whom you can talk openly, question freely, and collaborate makes it easier. I believe that therapeutic change is nurtured through a relationship that is supportive, compassionate, and non-judgmental. Everyone comes to therapy with unique perspectives and experiences. Together, we can honor the unique lens through which you see the world and collaborate to decide what meaningful change looks like for you.
My therapeutic approach often focuses on identifying and adjusting ways in which we continually interact with the world. Therefore, my work typically includes exploring relational patterns to help you form deeper, more stable bonds with yourself and others.
I strive to create a space for you to feel comfortable identifying techniques and building skills to address your specific concerns. My goal as a therapist is to equip you with the skills to not only weather life’s inevitable storms, but thrive and live a more meaningful life.
My areas of clinical strength include relationship concerns, identity-related concerns, anxiety, depression, and working with couples. My experiences providing individual, group, and couples psychotherapy in hospital and university counseling settings (University of Illinois Chicago & University of Michigan) have prepared me to work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and with a broad range of concerns. I have particular interest in working with college students, graduate students, and early career professionals.
I believe that therapist-client match is vital to the work I do. If what I have shared connects with you, please do not hesitate to reach out.
